Why Paddlers?
As ordinary people who enjoy paddling we felt there was a need for a place that other paddlers, and potential paddlers, could come and see what the sport has to offer without being under pressure to buy or having to endure any form of paddling snobbery. There are lots of different people who take to the water, all with different paddling needs. We don't preach about the one true kayak, instead we help you find the right craft for your requirements - whether it's a fishing ski, a previously owned double, or the latest plastic Perception. We'll gladly help sell your used craft, especially if you are upgrading to a new boat from us, but that's not a prerequisite. And there's more than just kayaks. We have PFDs, dry bags, phone pouches, books, paddles, clothing, safety flares, kayak/ski racks for the garage wall, roof racks, tie downs, rack protectors and even more. Our aim is offer a centre for paddlers to relax and discuss the joys and adventures that paddling our beautiful seas has to offer.

Where is Paddlers?
We are at 62 St Georges Street - which is the main road in Simon's Town, between the Lord Nelson Hotel and Simon's Town Backpackers. Coming into Simon's Town you will spot the Railway Station on your left. We are 700m past the train station on the right. Look out for a Shell garage and we're 40 metres beyond that. Parking is no problem. If you are collecting a boat do a U-Turn just after the shop and park outside if there is space. See the pictures below.
The quickest and BEST way get to us from Cape Town is via Ou Kaapse Weg to Sun Valley - don't go through Muizenberg because the roadworks there casue long tailbacks. Take the M3 motorway to where it ends and turn right at the T Junction. Follow the road for about 1.5km and turn left up the pass to Sun Valley and Fish Hoek. From there on it's a very windy, up hill and down valley road, but just keep going straight, not turning off, until you reach the sea at Glencairn. Then turn right towards Simon's Town.
Don't go via Muizenberg so as to avoid the delays from the huge roadworks there.
